 SINKWARE - CARE AND MAINTENANCE

All Sterling Sinkware is manufactured from Genuine 304 grade stainless steel in a minimum of 0.8mm Gauge. However, all stainless steel will scratch and you may encounter some stainless and surface rust. To maintain your sink, please read and follow our recommendations below.

Remember – stainless steel is just that – it will stain less!

Recommended Daily Care
To maintain the appearance of your Sterling sink, clean it regularly.
Use a soft soapy cloth, then rinse with clean water and dry well after use. Drying your sink will prevent the build up of mineral deposits from the water supply dulling the sink surface.

Rust and Stains
Iron particles in cookware, metal cans and water cause rust stains on stainless steel. Use a reputable stainless steel cleaner to remove these – follow the product instructions and rinse the sink thoroughly after treatment. Stubborn stains may take several applications to remove.Do NOT use abrasive steel wool products as traces from these may cause rust. They can also scuff and scratch the surface of your stainless steel sink or tub.

AVOID contact with:
Acidic foods such as vinegar, citrus juices, pickles, salt – they may cause corrosion.
Chlorine or chlorides as contained in bleaches – these can cause staining and pitting.
Silver dip cleaners – these corrode stainless steel leaving a stain. Any strong acid can damage stainless steel. Immediately rinse these off the sink with clean water.
